Louis "Kip" Miklos Jr, 97, of Stratford, Connecticut passed away peacefully on Sunday August 27, 2017 with his loving family by his side. A life long resident of Stratford, Kip proudly served his country from 1941-1945, traveling the world Kip rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant of Mechanics working on B-17s and B-24s in Australia, New Guinea and helped liberate the Philippines. Taking on impossible terrain, living conditions and an array of sicknesses Kip made it home to marry the love of his life, Helen. They were married for 62 years, traveled to more than 13 battalion reunions, took several cruises and spent many good times at the slot machines in CT and Las Vegas casinos. Kip was a life long member of the Knights of Columbus, he was inducted into the CT Fast Pitch Hall of Fame, as the grill man at The Windmill restaurant for 19 years he also coached their softball team to 7 state championships and he was also the town horseshoe champion for several years and a top notch duck pin bowler. Kip was very proud of his six children, Barbara Gruber and her husband Jon, Louis J. Miklos, Nancy Sorrentino and her husband Craig, Joseph Miklos, William Milkos and George Miklos and his wife Lauren, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, he is also survived by his sister, Evelyn Miklos. Funeral services and interment with full military honors will be private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home-Stratford.
