Lorraine Panginski Rogers, age 88, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Frank A. Rogers, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital. Lorraine was born on December 16, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Chester and Helen (Lapinski) Panginski and was a long time Stratford resident. She was a woman of amazing faith, devoted to God and loved her family above all. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy and time spent with family made her the happiest. She gave back to the Lord through her years of volunteer service at St. James Church, where she also taught CCD to special needs children. Her strength, faith and love left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Survivors include her children, Cheryl Campbell and her husband Robert and James Rogers and his wife Dore all of Stratford, son-in-law, Gary De Mezzo of Milford, 12 grandchildren, Carrie Campbell, Robert Campbell, Jill Campbell Carter and her husband Brent, Michael Campbell, James Rogers and his wife Caitlin, Deanna Fonda and her husband, Steven, Lindsay Rogers, Kristen Fennell and her husband Dean, Lori Soderholm and her husband Karl, Gerad De Mezzo and his wife Amy, Rondi Payne and her husband, Tim,Sheri Heitz and her husband, Karl, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, a sister, Dolores Tearne, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Lorraine was pre-deceased by her daughters, Francene De Mezzo and Denise Pope, brother Andrew Panginski and sisters, Irene Loguidice, Lucy Ratzenberger, and Leonora Arpie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20 ^th meeting directly at St. Mark's Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Calling hours will be omitted. The Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
