Loretta (Laurie) Soltis, age 79, of Bridgeport, passed away on March 15, 2022 in her home after a courageous 4-year battle with cancer.

Laurie was born in New York City on September 4, 1942, to the late Edward and Helen (Korczynski) Szymik and was a longtime Bridgeport resident. She retired from Stop & Shop and also worked for many years in the cosmetics field and tended bar at Shamrock and Nagy's.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, bargain hunting and being with friends.  In her younger days, she bowled in several leagues and played co-ed softball for the Shamrock Bar.

Survivors include her son, Stephen Soltis and his wife Leonia, cherished granddaughters, Emma and Audrey, sister, Kathy Medina, and nephew, Albert Sikorsky. In addition to her parents, Laurie was pre-deceased by her daughter, Sherry Lynn Soltis.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
