Obituary

Loretta "Lolly" M. Caserta, age 86, of Trumbull, formerly of Stratford, passed away on October 27, 2024, at Lord Chamberlain Health Center.

Loretta was born in Bridgeport on November 25, 1937, to the late Andrew and Antoinette (Donofrio) DeLorenzo and had been a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Central High School in 1955. Loretta married Francis "Frank" Caserta in 1957 and had three wonderful boys together. Anthony "Tony" Caserta of Derby, Andrew Caserta (Nancy) of Stratford, and Cory Caserta (Jennifer) of Milford.

She leaves behind her seven Grandchildren. Andrew (Carissa), Stacy, Anthony, Laura, Alexis, Maxwell and Emma. As well as two great-grand children, Aubree and Emilie. She also leaves behind several brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews, her brother-in-law Tony, and many lifelong Stratford friends.

Loretta is also predeceased by her ex-husband Frank, Brother John, and best friend Diane Johnson.

Loretta was an artist at heart. She loved drawing and poetry. She always told her grandchildren "Remember, poems don't have to rhyme, you can say anything you want!" Loretta enjoyed long walks around Stratford and enjoyed the early morning bustle down by "the green" in Stratford. She was social and outgoing and knew everyone's name. She enjoyed her morning routine: a nice walk, a black coffee, maybe a scratcher or two, talking to her sons, and heading home just in time for the Price is Right! Loretta loved making appearances as a clown for special occasions. The laughter and joy she spread will be missed forever.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
