Obituary

Lois Kosik Sivahop, beloved wife of the late Albert Sivahop, died Friday, June 06, 2014 in Bridgeport. Lois was born July 15, 1939 in Glen Lyon, PA, the daughter of the late Helen Olenchak Kosik and Joseph John Kosik. Lois lived in Dupont, PA until her marriage when she and her husband moved to Connecticut. She retired from Honeywell in 1998. Love of God, her church and family were foremost in her life. Lois enjoyed working in her garden, a tranquil place away from life's cares. She often commented, "Gardening is my therapy." Survivors included her sisters, Mary Teague, Henderson, NV: Susan Pizzi, Wallingford, CT., Helen Kosik-Westly, Monterey, CA; Judith Kuchinski, Bradenton, FL; and Nancy Colasanto, Harwichport, MA; brother Joseph S. Kosik, Dupont, PA; godson Joseph G. Pizzi; niece Patricia McNeelege; nephews Ken McNeelege, Kevin McNeelege, Glenn McNeelege, Stephen Pizzi, Nicholas Colasanto and Daniel Colasanto. A Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 11th at 11 a.m. in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Nichols. Interment will be in Nichols Village Cemetery. At the family's request calling hours have been omitted.
