Lloyd R. Schreckengost, age 80, of Stratford, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 in his home. Lloyd a retired Maintenance Mechanic for Mobil Chemical was born in East Deer, Pennsylvania to the late Merle and Lillian (Shrum) Schreckengost and has been a longtime area resident. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, and was a member of the VFW in Bridgeport and the Moose Club of Stratford. Survivors include his devoted children, Kevin, Janet, and Jill Schreckengost all of Stratford, and Joy Patchell and her husband Rob of North Branford, 7 cherished grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Casie-Ann, Zackary, Ryan, Lindsay, Kelli, and Christopher, 5 great-grandchildren, a brother, Enos Schreckengost, a sister, Loretta Woodcock, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Lloyd was pre-deceased by his brother Merle. Friends may greet Lloyd's family on Thursday, December 22 ^nd from 5-8 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
