Lisbeth A. Brown Sperling, age 73, of Stratford, beloved wife of Ronald Sperling, passed away on Saturday May 26, 2012 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Sperling, a retired cashier for Stop and Shop, was born in Barre, Vermont to the late George and Barbara (Hutchinson) Brown and has been a long time area resident. She was a graduate of Stratford High School and had been employed at Steve's Market for many years. Lisbeth, was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Chruch and their choir, she was and avid knitter and loved to read.Survivors in addition to her beloved husband of 55 years, include her devoted children Gregory Sperling, and Cheryl McCuen and her husband David, all of Stratford, 3 cherished grandchildren Caitlyn and Molly McCuen, and Rebecca Sperling, her daughter-in-law Doloris Sperling, her sister Deborah Benson and her husband Donald of Shelton, several nieces and nephews, and her grand-dog Abby. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by brothers Dennis and Brian Brown, a sister Nancy Wilkinson and her grand-dogs Madeline and Blitz. Friends may greet her family on Friday June 1st from 4-6 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will be private.
