Obituary

Lisa Rose (D'Aiuto) Wierzbicki, age 49, of Stratford, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Lisa was born in Bridgeport and moved to Shelton in her early teens. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, and Paier College of Art in New Haven. She was an accomplished floral designer working at several prominent florists including Wakeman's, City Line Florist and The Gardener's Center in Darien. She was the loving wife for 19 years to Mark S. Wierzbicki and devoted her life to raising her beloved son Joseph. Her volunteerism spanned several areas including Our Lady of Peace Parish in Stratford, Second Hill Lane Elementary School Library and most recently as a docent at the Stratford Historical Society Judson House Museum. A deeply religious person she was known for her kindness, determination and warming smile. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors in addition to her beloved husband and son include her parents Vito and Nancy (Grillo) D'Aiuto, a brother Vito D'Aiuto III and his son Trenton, and his wife Lauren, brother-in-law Waldemar Z. Wierzbicki , and his children Timothy, Tanya, and Israel Wierzbicki, sister-in-law Teresa Roehrich and her husband Carl, and their children Carl II, Carla, Victoria, and Robert Roehrich, aunts and uncles, Robert and Edith Hultgren, Anita Gorton and the late Eugene Gorton, Barbara Wood D'Aiuto and the late Dr. Michael D'Aiuto, Nora Grillo and the late Armand Grillo, and numerous cousins. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 28th at 10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Church, Lordship, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday (TODAY) from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. .
