Linda A. Solhem Lemke, age 69, of Stratford, beloved wife of Sam Lemke, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Bridgeport Hospital. Linda, a retired Administrative Assistant for Axa Equitable of Westport, was born in Waterbury to the late Norman and Hazel (Pierce) Solhem and has been a long time Stratford resident. She was a graduate of Bunnell High School, and enjoyed painting, sewing and crafts, and was an avid fan of the NY Yankees. She loved orangutans and monkeys, and truly loved spoiling her "grand pets" Survivors in addition to her beloved husband, include her devoted children, Sam Lemke Jr of Ansonia, Brenda Lemke of Waterbury and Susan Lemke of West Haven, her brother, Ralph Solhem and his wife Ellen of Milford, 2 nieces and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her brothers, Art and Roger Solhem. A graveside funeral service will take place on Monday, February 9th at 10 a.m. in St.Michael's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may greet Linda's family on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
