Lillian P. Olzinski, age 97, passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Edwin Olzinski Sr. with whom she shared 50 years of marriage until his passing in 1997. Lillian was born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania on July 12, 1925, to the late Stanley and Bertha (Chesko) Konopinski of Honeypot. After moving to Stratford in 1950 she remained a lifetime resident until her recent move to Oxford. She lived a long, full life enjoying ceramics classes, crocheting, watching the Yankees and especially following the UConn Huskies Women's Basketball. She worked as an inspector for Schick, retiring at 65 after 20 years of service. Survivors include her devoted daughters, Barbara Beringer and her husband Robert of Maryland, Joan Lutka and her husband Raymond of Oxford and Patricia Mazza and her husband Donald of Southbury, 9 cherished grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Lillian was pre-deceased by her sorely missed son, Edwin Olzinski Jr., sister, Eleanor Dzugan and lifelong best friend, Irene Novak. She was a strong, vibrant women maintaining her independence until age 96. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her. Visitation on Monday, May 15 ^th from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove of Easton Cemetery.
