Lillian M. Baron, 78, of Southbury, CT, peacefully entered the kingdom of heaven on December 18, 2024. A lifelong resident of Connecticut, Lillian was born in New York, NY and lived many years in Monroe, before retiring with her husband to Heritage Village in Southbury.
A devout parishioner of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Trumbull and associate of the Sisters of St. Basil in Uniontown, PA, Lillian was a graduate of Central High School in Bridgeport and served as a medical secretary for General Electric in Fairfield for decades.
Lillian's passions included cooking for her loved ones, being of service to her brothers and sisters in Christ and enjoying the company of dogs. Steadfastly cheerful, her generous spirit called her to volunteer in numerous vocations throughout her life. She was a faithful keeper of family traditions deeply rooted in her Slovakian heritage.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 57 years, George Baron, her two sons, Mark and his partner Debbie Reed of Monroe, CT, and Carl and his wife Lisa of Missouri City, TX; seven nephews and nieces; and several grandnieces including Morgan Anna (Podolak) Griffin, who brought a special joy to her most recent years. Lillian's profound trust in God brings us comfort knowing she rests in the arms of her savior.
Lillian is preceded in death by her cherished parents Anna and John Olah, her sister Mary Ann Podolak, nephew Drew Podolak, and other treasured family and friends.
