Leonard Booth Jr., age 79, of Stratford, beloved husband of Fundador Mendez, passed away on February 15, 2018 in his home. Leonard was born in Bridgeport on April 17, 1938, beloved son of the late Leonard Booth Sr. and Elizabeth Berge Booth and has been a life long area resident. He was a graduate of Stratford High School, and served with the U.S. Coast Guard for two years in the Panama Canal. Leonard was a graduate of St. Vincent's School of Nursing and worked for over thirty-five years as an RN with the V.A. Medical Center in West Haven, upon retirement, he worked for many local visiting nurse agencies. He was a member of the St. Andrew's Society of Connecticut. Leonard enjoyed reading, and spending time at the Stratford Library, he also enjoyed attending services at Christ Episcopal Church in Stratford, and MCC in New Haven. In addition to leaving behind his beloved husband, Leonard is also survived by several cousins and many friends. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
