Leonard M. Buckshon, age 80, of Ansonia, beloved husband of Cecelia Yanok Buckshon, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 in Milford Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Leonard, a U.S. Army Veteran, was born in Jessup, Pennsylvania to the late Michael and Anna (Troanovitch) Buckshon and has been a long time area resident. He was a retired Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service with over forty years of service. Leonard was a member of St. Margaret-Mary Church in Shelton, where he was an Usher, a member of the Men's League, and a volunteer for Bingo. He enjoyed gardening, and working in his yard, and also liked playing cards. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife, include his devoted daughters, Debra Tietjen and her husband Michael of Ansonia, and Diane Gless and her husband Mark of Shelton, 4 cherished grandchildren, Jessica and Kyle Tietjen, and Ryan and Megan Gless, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his sisters, Bernadine Buckshon and Nancy Ladomirak. Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 11th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret-Mary Church Shelton, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
