Leo Henry Lohrman II, age 80 of Stratford passed away peacefully at Carriage Green of Milford on Sunday, September 2, 2018. He was born July 14, 1938 in Morristown, NJ to Leo H. & Anne Lohrman. He graduated from Tecumseh High School (MI) in 1956. He attended Ashland University (OH) prior to entering the Army. He went into advertising sales in New York City and remained in the industry for over 50 years. He retired from Wine & Spirits Magazine where he was an Associate Publisher. Leo was an active member of the St. John Lodge #8 and the York and Scottish Rite Masonic Fraternities where he was honored with the 33 degree. In the late 1980's, Leo initiated the purchase and extensive renovations to the Stratford Theater. Leo was recognized after many years of leadership with the distinction of having the theater named in his honor. As a Town of Stratford resident for 48 years he was involved in many community projects while representing the Scottish Rite. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Church in Lordship where he was a member of the Men's group and had developed many friendships. He was an avid Yankee fan attending his first game in 1946 with his dad. The tradition was continued with his son and countless friends. He is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years Victoria Zmijewski Lohrman, his daughter Suzanne (Edward) Macioce and their children Cameron, Conner, and Isabel of Columbus, Ohio, his son Todd (Gina) Lohrman and their children Kendyl and Jarrett of Ellington, and Julie Caraballo and her children Christopher, Anna, and Frankie of Stratford. He is predeceased by his parents, sister Lynne Harrington, brother Eric Lohrman, and grandson Alexander Caraballo, as well as, his in-laws Felix and Anna Zmijewski. The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at Carriage Green of Milford and Vitas Hospice. In lieu of flowers please donate to Alz.org or the Sanctuary fund at Our Lady of Peace Church. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Our lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Rd, Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Masonic Services will be at 6:30 p.m.
