Lena W. Geibel, age 86, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Edward Geibel, passed away peacefully at home on February 4, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Lena was born on August 31, 1938, in Dalhart, Texas to the late Henry and Charlotte (Gonzalez) Want and had been a longtime area resident. She earned her bachelor's degree in library science and retired from the Trumbull Public Library. After her retirement, she enjoyed reading and working on her paintings which she loved sharing with her family and friends.

Survivors include her devoted son, Russell Geibel and his wife Terry, cherished grandson, Mark Geibel and his wife Kayla, she will be especially missed by her great-grandchildren, Brantley and Paisley who loved her dearly; a brother, Henry Want, sister, Dolores Jarboe, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Lena was pre-deceased by her siblings, Lewis, Dora, Mary Jane, and Emma.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
