Lena Tucciarone Bobko, age 85, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Nicholas Bobko Sr., passed away on April 16, 2018 in her home. Lena, a retired assembler for Bic Pen Company, was born on May 19, 1932 in Stratford to the late Philip and Anna (D'Angelo) Tucciarone and has been a life long area resident. She was an avid fan of all sports, but especially liked cheering on the UCONN women's basketball team. Lena enjoyed playing BINGO at St. John's Church Silver Lane, but more than just the game, she enjoyed the camaraderie with the friends she made while playing. Lena's family would like to thank her devoted caregiver, Capricia Atkinson, for her kind and loving care. Survivors include her beloved son, Nicholas Bobko Jr. and his wife Carla of West Haven; granddaughters, Marcie and Megan Foulke; great-grandson, Ezra Gordon; sisters, Eleanor Goodrich of Stratford and Philomena Franci of Milford; brother, Jack Tucciarone of Milford and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Lena was pre-deceased by her daughter, Ann Marie Foulke; brothers, Julius and James Tucciarone; and sister, Marianne Barrett. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 21 ^st at 9:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may greet her family on Friday from 4-7 p.m.
