Laura Paul Noble, age 87, of Milford, the beloved widow of John S. Noble, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 in her home. Born in Bridgeport on September 9, 1937, to the late Margaret Clark, she was raised by Margaret and her husband the late Alexander Antanitis.
Laura's early claim to fame was being featured in Sports Illustrated while she was captain of the cheerleading squad at Harding High School. Laura used her cheerleading skills throughout her life, as she supported, encouraged and cheered on her family and close friends. After high school Laura worked as a secretary at Sikorsky Aircraft where she met her beloved husband Jack. Laura always put her family first and stayed home to raise her three children. She later entered the workforce in a secretarial capacity at St. Vincent's Hospital ER and Eagle Hill Rehab facility. Laura ended her working career as a customer service supervisor at Free Life International from where she retired in 2002.
Survivors include her devoted daughter, Laura Stewart and her husband Brian of Wallingford, her grandchildren, Douglas Stewart, Katherine Graham, Lace Tomer and Katlyn Barrett and her husband Steve, great-grandchildren, Jackson, Julian, Kaiden, Aedan, Reese, brother-in-law, Raymond Noble and his wife Mary Beth, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Laura was predeceased by her son, James P. Noble, her daughter, Pamela S. Tomer, a brother Donald Paul and a sister, Karen Antanitis Fogg. Laura was fortunate to have many long term friendships she cherished, with one going all the way back to grade school. She will be sorely missed by Marylou, Gert, Pat and Kathy. She was predeceased by her close friend Arlene.
Friends may greet the family for a celebration of Laura's life on Thursday, December 12th from 4-6 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. Interment will be private.
The family request in lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a donation in Laura's memory to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
