Kathleen A. Vojtek Bassick, age 47, of Danbury, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 14, 2014 in New York. Kathleen, a Senior Real Estate Specialist for Cartus Relocation of Danbury, was born in Bridgeport to Ronald Vojtek of Naugatuck, and Anastasia Valentine Verderosa of Stratford, and has been a life long area resident. She was a 1985 graduate of Trumbull High School and received an AS from the Boston School of Floral Design. Kathleen enjoyed cooking and baking, and was very creative, winning several awards for Floral Design, she had and infectious laugh and the ability to "light-up" a room. She was also a member of the Ladies Guild of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Nichols, and was an avid Red Sox Fan. Survivors in addition to her beloved parents, include her devoted sister, and best friend, Darlene Vojtek of Naugatuck, her beloved fiancé, Ed Buckwalter of Danbury, her Godmother Shirley Sedlock of Monroe, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 19th at 11 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Grace Church 497 Second Hill Lane Stratford, CT. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
