Kathleen A. Maccio age 62 of Stratford passed away suddenly on Monday February 14, 2011 in Bridgeport Hospital. Kathleen, a former chemist for Proctor Gamble was born in Yonkers, New York to the late Carmine and Annette (Darmiento) Maccio and has been a Stratford resident for many years. She received a BS from the College of Mt. St. Vincent in New York, and was a member of American Chemical Society, National Business Professional Women's Assoc., Who's Who in Business and Industry, and St. Mark's Ladies Guild. Prior to Proctor Gamble, she worked for Richardson-Vicks and Unilever. Survivors include an aunt Rose Davis, Uncle Joseph Maccio, and cousins Leonard Proscia, Laura Verdirame, Thomas, Joseph, Leonard and John Darmiento, Angela DeLucia, and Lucy Mulhern, Rose Stefanik, Angela Evans, and Agnes Arboe, who was also her Godmother.. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by her brother Patrick. Funeral services will take place on Saturday February 19th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Monroe.
