Kathleen Rita Danilowicz, age 77, of Stratford, beloved wife of Michael Danilowicz, passed away peacefully at home on December 14, 2025.
Kathleen was born in Bridgeport on December 31, 1947, to the late John and Kathleen (Nykorchuk) Zorka. She was a graduate of Harding High School, class of 1966 and later was just a few credits shy of earning a degree from the University of Bridgeport.
Kathleen retired from the Stratford Board of Education. Prior to that she worked for many years as a secretary for Carpenter Steel Co., Bridgeport, and GTE of Stamford. Kathleen was also a district sales manager for Avon Products for several years. In her younger years she modeled, as well as working several other jobs committing herself to a hardworking ambitious lifestyle. Her ambitions paid off when she built her own home in Lordship. She was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Bridgeport. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and traveling, but most of all loved spending time with her family.
Survivors in addition to her beloved husband of 36 years, include her devoted children, John Banot, Tamara and Alek Danilowicz all of Stratford and several cousins. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was pre-deceased by her sister, Janet.
Her devotion, dedication, and love for her family and church will never be overlooked or forgotten.
Kathleen's family would like to thank the staff of St. Vincent's Hospital, Lord Chamberlain, Stratford VNA and Hartford Health Care Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
Visitation on Thursday December 18th from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
A Requiem Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, December 19,2025 at 10:00 a.m., meeting directly at St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church 10 Oakwood St Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe
