Katherine "Kay" Dergo Johnson, age 82, of Bridgeport passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 in Bridgeport Hospital. Kay, a retired secretary for the City of Bridgeport Police Department, was born in Granville, New York to the late Stephen and Mary (Komlos) Dergo, and has been a long time area resident, and a graduate of Central High School. She worked hard her entire life, and always took care of her family, especially Todd Jr and Elizabeth, whom she raised. Survivors include her devoted sons Gregory and Todd M. Johnson Sr., both of Bridgeport, 5 cherished grandchildren Todd M. Johnson Jr. and his wife ToniAnn, Elizabeth Johnson and her fiancé Darren Opper, Matthew, Gustavus, and Gunnar Johnson, 3 great-grandchildren David, Greenlee, and Julianna, a sister Lucy Salata and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 27tha t 9 a.m. in St. James Church 2070 Main Street Stratford. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Tuesday March 26, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
