Karen L. Spodnik, age 55, of Stratford, a retired RN, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Bridgeport to the late William and Edith (Lowrey) Spodnik, she has been a life long Stratford resident. Survivors include her devoted sister Barbara Moyher and her husband Gary of Stratford, a nephew Thomas Moyher and his fiancée Jill Swanson and a niece Jennifer Coderre and her husband Chris. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Yale New Haven Hospital Transplant floor for the years of care given to Karen. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 10:15 am in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford and at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 pm.
