June Kovalsky, age 95, of Stratford, the beloved widow of Michael Kovalsky, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 in the Southington Nursing Home. Born June 19, 1929 in Longhorne, Pennsylvania to the late Carlo and Olga (Jensen) Hanson, June has been a longtime area resident. She grew up in Stratford, graduating from Stratford High in 1947, and retired in 1994 after many years working at the Bridgeport Bradlees.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane Johnson and her husband Jeffrey of Berlin, her son, Carl Miller of Farmington, a grandson, Rick Armetta and his wife Stephanie of Southington. June is also survived by a sister, Jeanne Cressman of Hellertown PA, a brother, James Oplinger and his wife Cindy of Saratoga, NY, a sister-in-law, Mary Rosko of Wallingford and her dear friend since the age of 5, Doris Patrick.

In addition to her parents and husband, June was predeceased by her first husband, Alexander Miller, a son Jay Miller and 2 dear friends, Doris Kerrigan and Vivian Blasko.

Friends may call on Wednesday, December 11th from 10 am – 12 noon in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery Stratford.
