– Julia Krchnavy, age 76 of Milford passed away on August 10, 2005 in her home. Born in Bridgeport on December 31, 1928, she has been a Milford resident for the past 16 years. Upon graduation from high school, Julia moved to Washington D.C. to work at the Pentagon, she then returned home and attended the University of Bridgeport. She retired from Friedburg Smith and Company as a book- keeper and office manager. Active in sports in her youth, she was an avid skier, golfer and synchronized swimmer. Her love for sports continued into her retirement, never missing a New York Giants or UCONN basketball game. She was pre-deceased by her parents John and Susan Krchnavy a brother John Krchnavy and her sisters Margaret Stasiunas and Susan Kartovsky. Survivors include her nieces Joyce Toigo, Janet Discenza, Judy Jones, and Daria Krchnavy and her nephews Carl Stasiunas and John Krchnavy and 11 great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Monday August 15th at 11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with the Rev. Linda Kraft officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery Bridgeport. Friends may call on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
