Julia V. Gromotskie Gorel, age 84, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Joseph Gorel, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Julia, was born in Sagamore, Pennsylvania to the late John and Mary Gromotskie, and has been a long time area resident, other than the time she spent in North Conway, New Hampshire as Co-Proprietor of the Clover Motel, with her late husband. She was a former active parishioner of Our Lady of the Mountains Church in North Conway, NH. Survivors include her beloved children,Joseph Gorel and his wife Irene,James Gorel and his wife Linda,and Joan Sobieraj and her husband Mark, all of Shelton, 4 cherished grandchildren, Matthew Gorel and his wife Catheryn, Amy, Jim and Jennifer Gorel, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by her brothers, Frank Gromotsky, John and Joseph Gromotskie, sisters, Helen Clements, Catherine Potochar, Frances Baumgartner, and Ann Bienasz. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 26th at 8:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church 424 Coram Avenue Shelton, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
