Judith Ann “Judy” Thomas Siemers, 84 years old, passed away on May 7, 2026, in Los Alamitos, California. 

Judy was born in Bayshore, Long Island, New York to John “Jack” William Thomas and Catherine Myra Miller Thomas on April 9. 1942. The family moved to Stratford, CT where Judy attended Stratford High School graduating in 1960. She attended Nursing School at Bridgeport Hospital and went on to earn a certificate in Court Reporting and Floral Arrangement Design. She worked as the Office Manager & Accounting Manager for Nottingham Pacific, McDonnell Douglas, and the Pacific Crane Company. She also owned and operated a Flower Shop over the course of her professional life, retiring in 2008.

 Judy enjoyed her family, her faith, playing cards, walking, and volunteering at Blessed Sacrament in Westminster, California. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters and served in numerous roles at her church including teaching Catechism, and was an Usher, counted each week’s collections, baked and helped run the bake sales and supported numerous other events and charities including her grandson’s Foundation.

 Judy is survived by her son, Kenneth Thomas Siemers of Los Alamitos, California, and her daughter, Deborah Lee Ortega of Anaheim, California, grandchildren, Cameron Stewart Siemers, Kenneth Adam Siemers, Christopher “Chris” Ryan Ortega, Breanne “Bree” Shiree Ortega Pyle, Eileen Ortega Sinohui, and Randy Ortega, great-grandchildren, Kenneth Austin Siemers (aka 5K), Carrie Rose Ortega, Cecily Grace Ortega, Courtney Rae Ortega, and Audrey Rae Pyle. In addition to her parents, Judy was pre-deceased by her brother, John William Thomas II, and her in-laws, Kenneth and Marian Siemers.

 Judy Siemers will be buried next to her mother and brother at St. John’s Cemetery, located at 2610 Nichols Avenue, Stratford, Connecticut 06614. There will be a graveside service “only” on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 11:30am EST.
