Juan Alberto Hartwell, age 63, of Milford, beloved husband of Sol Angel Pagan Hartwell, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026. Juan was born in Costa Rica on August 9, 1962, to the late Richard R. Hartwell and Luisa B. (Ulloa) Hartwell and has been a longtime area resident, coming to the United States in 1976. He was a bus driver for CT Transit for 21 years.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 36 years, include his cherished daughters, Sol Stephanie Hartwell, Jessica Marie Nguyen and her husband Hieu, adored granddaughter, Noelia Rose, brother, Luis (Patricia) Hartwell, sister, Mary Ellen (Luis) Canas and several nieces and nephews.

Juan enjoyed traveling, fixing cars, and having cookouts with loved ones. For many years he enjoyed collecting model cars and going on fishing trips with friends.

Visitation on Friday, May 22, 2026, in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford from 4-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 391 Ogden St, Bridgeport, CT 06608.
