Joseph G. Quiriconi age 82 of Stratford passed away on Wednesday January 28, 2009 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Quiriconi a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW # II was born in Stratford to the late Sabatino and Elvira Quiriconi and has been a life long area resident. Joe was the founder and owner of Rotary Ski and Snowboard Shop in Stratford, where he was proud to serve the skiing community for over 58 years, along with his family, friends and long time employees. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy Zuscin Quiriconi for fifty-one years. Survivors include his beloved children Laurie Gellatly and her husband Guy of Monroe, Mark Quiriconi and his wife MaryAnn of Orange and Kevin Quiriconi of Shelton, 2 grandchildren Sara and Mark, 2 step-grandchildren Stacey and Jason, a sister Helen Slosar of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he was pre-deceased by his brothers and sisters Dino, Paul, Armand, John, Gino, Anthony, and Stella Quiriconi and Mary Seminoro. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday February 3, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery Monroe.
