Joseph Poppa, age 59 of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2020 at Milford Hospital. Joseph was born in Bridgeport on December 21, 1960 to the late Fred and Frances (Mikulka) Poppa and had been a lifelong area resident. He is survived by his siblings, Frances E. Velez (husband Jorge), John Poppa (wife Denise), Daniel Poppa (wife Domenica), Teresa M. Stabell (husband Raymond), Mary Poppa and Lawrence Poppa and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved parents, Joe was pre-deceased by his brothers, Fred Jr., Leonard, and David, sisters, Valerie and Linda, niece, Nicole Poppa and nephews, Fedele Poppa and Brandon Velez. Due to the current health situation the family has elected to have a private family service. The Adzima Funeral Home-Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
