Joseph Edmond Nova Matin Jr, age 88, of Stratford, the beloved widower of Emily Prezekop Martin, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 in West River Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Springvale, Maine on December 12, 1931 to the late Joseph Edmond Nova Martin Sr and Olida Perreault, he has been a long-time Stratford resident and was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft. He was also predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Yvette and William Heath of Port Crane, New York.  Survivors include his brother and his wife, George and Marie Martin of Duncanville, Texas, son and his wife, Nova J. Martin and Sharon of Catlett, Virginia, his devoted daughter Donna Stuart of Stratford, son-in-law Tom Stuart of Milford, four grandsons, Nova Jr. and wife Emily, Corey, T.J. and Colby, and three great-granddaughters, Hannah, Sarah, and Carolyn and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services with Full Military Honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Trumbull were private.
