Joseph Charles Bizub Jr., age 80 of Shelton, died Friday, February 2, 2007 in his home. Born in Bridgeport to the late Joseph C. Bizub Sr. and Anna Valek Bizub, Joe has been a life long area resident. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during WWII fighting in the Philippines. He retired from Bridgeport Metal Goods after 45 years as a tool and dye maker. He was a member of the Fidelity-St. John's Lodge No 3 A.F & A.M., the Lafayette Consistory, Valley of Bridgeport Scottish Rite Freemasonry, the Orthodox Square Club and the Pyramid Temple Shrine in Milford where he was a member of the Motor Patrol. Survivors include his beloved wife Dorothy Berescik Bizub; a brother William Bizub and his wife Kay of Shelton; a sister Evelyn Skerencak of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers Edward and Michael Bizub Predeceased him. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 7, 2006 at 9:15 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:00 in St. John the Baptist Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church Mill Hill Avenue Bridgeport for a Requiem Funeral Service with the V. Rev David Cochran officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 pm. Panichida will be at 4:30pm. Masonic Services will take place at 6:30 pm.
