Joseph Mark Ambrose Jr., age 32, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Joey was born in Bridgeport on July 31, 1993, beloved son of Joe and Jacquie (Wild) Ambrose, and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Bunnell High School class of 2011, and prior to his illness was employed by Edgewell-Schick. Survivors in addition to his beloved parents include his devoted sister, Victoria, paternal grandparents, Jerry and Margaret Ambrose, and several aunts, uncles and cherished cousins. Joey was pre-deceased by his maternal grandmother, Helen Bernardo and uncle, Patrick Ambrose.

Visitation on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 25th at 9:15 a.m. meeting directly at St. James Church 2070 Main Street Stratford. Inurnment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Monroe.
