John M Yakowicz Jr, age 80, of Bridgeport, CT., passed away January 6, 2024.

John was born in Bridgeport, CT., on April 25, 1943, to the late John and Anne (Drank) Yakowicz and has been a lifelong area resident.

He leaves behind his children John (Lisa), Kimberly (David), Andrea and David (Cindy) His 8 grandchildren: Ashley and Tyler Matakevich and his wife Shannon, Robert and Andre Valeri, Alyson, David, Ava and Lauren Yakowicz. His great grandson Jaxson Crist. Along with many cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife Nancy Yakowicz Phillips and his longtime companion Irene Hultman.

He graduated from Bullard Havens Technical School and worked as a machinist at Bridgeport Machines and Sikorsky Aircraft. John's favorite leisure activities were fishing, duckpin bowling and his vegetable garden.
