John A. Wisniewski, age 89, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Dorothy Kochiss Wisniewski, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital. John, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, was born in Keiser, Pennsylvania to the late Alfred and Anna (Shuma) Wisniewski and has been a long time area resident. He was a retired Repair Technician for Olivetti-Underwood Business Machines. John was an avid fan of the University of Notre Dame, the New York Yankees and New York Giants, and was a coach for twenty years for Stratford Pony Baseball, assisting his son. Survivors include his devoted son, Dave Wisniewski and his wife Susan, cherished grandson Christopher, all of Stratford, 2 sisters, Marge Peters of PA and Anita Beeston of FL, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, John was pre-deceased by his sister Helen. A graveside funeral service, officiated by Deacon Andrew Dzujna will take place at the convenience of the family. The Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
