John G. Turek, age 87 of Stratford, husband of the late Patricia Kramer Turek, passed away on March 24, 2021 in Hartford Hospital. John was born in Bridgeport on September 6, 1933 to the late George and Susie (Macura) Turek and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a retired mechanic for Sikorsky Aircraft with over 40 years of service. Survivors include his devoted children, John Turek of New Haven, Peter Turek and his wife Takako of Stamford, Allon Turek and his wife Hiroko of Maryland, Chris Turek and his wife Lisa of New Jersey, and Patricia Crowell of Florida, 6 grandchildren, Alice, Grace, Lucy, Joshua, Jake, and Marissa. In addition to his wife and parents, John was pre-deceased by his sisters, Helen Nikel and Mary Macura.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 30 ^th from 10-11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford at 11:30 a.m. Everyone in attendance must follow the current COVID 19 guidelines, wear a mask and practice social distancing.
