John A. (Jack) Simmons, age 73, of Shelton, the beloved husband of Linda Paolozzi Simmons, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on June 13, 1945 to the late Charles and Ralphie (Savino) Simmons, Jack has been a life long area resident. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving 3 years during the Vietnam Era. Jackwas an avid reader and history buff who loved the Cape and believed in putting family first. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 53 years, Linda, include his devoted daughters, Jackie Simmons and her husband Jim Christian Jr and Kimberly Versace and her husband Chris, his cherished grandchildren, Julia, Alexa and Jack Henry Versace and Charlie, his faithful companion. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, November 13 ^th from 4-7 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:45 pm.  Internment will be private.
