John Madara, 51, died peacefully at home with his family in Stratford, CT on Monday, March 10th, 2014, after a fierce battle with brain cancer. He was born April 10th, 1962, to Helen Madara (Blackford) and the late Glenn Madara in Queens Village, NY. He graduated from Holy Cross High School in Queens, received his Associates degree from Queensboro Community College, and built a career managing IT teams for both IBM and JP Morgan Chase. He is survived by his wife and true love, Judy Madara (Piazza), his four children; Sarah, Melissa, Jacob, and Jennifer, his brother Ed and wife Katherine, his brother Jim and wife Bernadette, his sister Anastasia and husband Rene, his brother Glenn, his brother Harry and Jane Siano, his sister Jean and husband Michael, and his brother David and wife Diana, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones. He was an avid adventurer, a doting father, a loving husband, and a generous friend. Friends may greet John's family on Saturday, March 15 ^th from 2-5 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, a prayer service will be held at 4:30 p.m. immediately followed by a memorial reception at Vazzano's Four Seasons in Stratford.In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in John's memory to Seasons Hospice Foundation 21 Church St Naugatuck, CT. 06770 or to the National Brain Tumor Foundation at www.braintumor.org
