John M. O'Connor, age 69, of Stratford, beloved friend and life partner of Frances Pascale, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in St. Vincent's MC. Bridgeport. John, a retired LPN for the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield, was born in New Haven to the late Thomas and Agnes (Bates) O'Connor and has been a long time area resident. He was a graduate of Bullard Havens Tech, was a former EMT for Connecticut Ambulance, among others, and was a former Athletic Trainer at Quinnipiac University. John was an active member of the World Series Club of Greater Hartford, and had coached the West Haven Phoenix Club Little League team to 3 championships, in the 1970's. Survivors in addition to Frances, include his devoted children Colleen O'Connor and Corinne McDonald, both of West Haven, Jack O'Connor and his wife Julie of NJ, and Thomas Kirk O'Connor of West Haven, 8 cherished grandchildren, Robert James, Joseph Charles McDonald III serving in the U.S. Navy, Jessica McDonald, Timothy Arcadipani, Abbigail O'Connor, Raymond O'Connor, Gwyneth O'Connor, and John O'Connor III, a great grandson Robert James III, 2 sisters Mary Pritchard and Ellen Jane Burke, both of Hamden, several nieces and nephews, his "Adopted Family" the Lassen's of Louie's Lunch in New Haven, and his 3 cats Chadd, JP, and Taz.. A Memorial service will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
