John C. Leslie "Casey" age 86 of Stratford passed away on Thursday October 19, 2006 surrounded by his family in St. Joseph's Manor Trumbull. Mr. Casey a retired toll collector for the State of Connecticut was born in Glace Bay NS, Canada and has been a long time area resident. He was a former milkman in the Stratford area for many years for Brock-Hall Dairy prior to working for the State. He was a member of St. James Council of the Knights of Columbus and the Baldwin Center and was a WW # II Veteran of the Canadian Army. Survivors include his beloved wife Anna Wargo Leslie, his devoted son John A. Leslie and his wife Lynn 2 cherished grandchildren Johnathon and Kayla Ann all of Shelton, 2 sisters Patricia Kenhart of California and "Bubbles" Shuman of Windsor Locks and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday October 24th at 9:45 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m.
