John Kasper Jr. age 92 of Bridgeport beloved husband of Edna Mc Cormack Kasper passed away on Friday May 13, 2011 in Ludlow Health Center, Fairfield. Mr. Kasper a WW II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, was born in Easton to the late John and Anna (Matlyak) Kasper and has been a life long area resident. He was a retired Electrical Engineer for Sikorsky Aircraft and was a lifetime member of American Legion Post # 160-Easton. John was the recipient of a Purple Heart for being wounded in the invasion of Okinawa, and was an avid Duckpin bowler, hunter, and CB Radio operator. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife include his 8 devoted children Andrea Perryman of AK, Phillip Kasper and his wife Kathy of NV, John Kasper III and his wife Donna of Monroe, Carol Sciarappa and her husband Anthony of Stratford, Thomas Kasper and his companion Phyllis of Trumbull, Barbara Mc Sperrin and her husband Patrick of Beacon Falls, JoAnne Goslar and her husband Ron of AZ, and Margaret Cavaliere and her husband Vince of Monroe, 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren a sister Anne Popp of Easton, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by a brother Alexander and sisters Helen Popp and Mary Pistey. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday May 17th at 10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with Rev. Peter Paproski officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
