John George Huchko, age 93, passed away on December 25 in Bethlehem, CT. Mr. Huchko was born in Windber, PA to the late Andrew and Susan (Bashar) Huchko. He was a lifelong resident of the Bridgeport/Trumbull area. He served as Captain in the US Army during WWII. Mr. Huchko earned a JD Degree at Northeastern University School of and practiced law in Bridgeport. Survivors include his beloved daughter, Valentina Diederich, and her husband Peter of Bethlehem, CT; granddaughter Kristina Diederich of Tampa, FL; and grandchildren Kurt and Corrinne Schultze and their father, Fred Schultze, of Port St. Lucie, FL. John was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Derith June Radachowsky Huchko and their daughter, Larissa Ann Schultze. Survivors also include several nieces and nephews. His family gives their gratitude to his extended family at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. A Requiem Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, December 31st at 10am at the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, 364 Mill Hill Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday, December 30 from 2-4 pm at the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.
