John Charles (Jack) Farrell, age 69, of Stratford, died on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 in St Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Born in Bridgeport to the late Lawrence and Virginia Grutz Farrell, he was a resident of Stratford for many years. He was a graduate of Harding High School, class of 1954 and was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and in 1991 and 1993 ran in the Marine Corps Marathon with his son and daughter. He enjoyed fishing and gardening with his grandchildren and watching their sporting events. He was a retired roofer for Barrett Roofing Company and was a member of the United Roofer's and Waterproofer's Union Local #12. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and was married to Helen Campopiano Farrell. He was pre-deceased by a brother Raymond and a sister Barbara. Survivors include his beloved children Larry Farrell and his wife Dawn and their children Kelly and Jack of Stratford; John Farrell and his wife Jeanne and their children Stacey, Stephanie, John and James of Shelton; U.S. Marine Sergeant Major Michael Farrell and his wife Sharon of Stratford; Lori Kopchik and her husband John and their children Nicholas and Julia of Shelton. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. in St James Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full Military Honors will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 P.M. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.
