John Danko age 80 formerly of Stratford passed away on Monday November 17, 2008 in the Jewish Home for the Aged, New Haven. Mr. Danko a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War was born in Bridgeport son of the late Michael and Anna (Serbin) Danko and has been a life long area resident. He was a retired Lithographer for Dresser Industries. John was a life long member of the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist in Bridgeport and was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Dresser's. Survivors include his devoted brother Michael Danko and his wife Patricia of Derby, 3 nieces Jo Marie Kochiss, Anne Feminella, his Goddaughter Teresa Buonomo, 2 nephews David Danko and Ronald Danko, 3 great-nephews Jeffrey and Matthew Kochiss, Ryan Feminella and a great-niece Mary Kochiss. In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his brothers Stephen and George. Funeral services will take place on Thursday November 20th at 11:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with Very Rev. David Cochran officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford.
