John J. Adams III, age 60, of Seymour, died on Thursday, May 17, 2007 in Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born in Bridgeport to the late John J. Adams Jr. and Mary Steiz Adams. He was an inspector for Sikorsky Aircraft for the last 23 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Local 1150 and was a Graduate of Bunnell High School, Class of 1966. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the National Guard during the Viet Nam War. His hobbies include motorcycling and mechanics. He was an avid N.Y. Yankee Fan and Dallas Cowboy Fan. He enjoyed cigars on the back deck with his neighbor and friend Bo and most of all time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his beloved wife Lynn Raslavsky Adams; a son James Sneider and his fiancé Michele Giggely, two grandchildren Gracie and Jacob; brother-in-law Michael Raslavsky and his fiancé Beth Wilson of Shelton, a sister Mary German and her husband Jon of Michigan. He was pre-deceased by his parents and mother and father-in-law June and Richard Raslavsky. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 5:00 P.M. with Msgr. William Schultz officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 P.M. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.
