Johanna (Jean) Greytak Andrejko, age 99, of Stratford, the widow of John Andrejko, passed away peacefully on Mother's Day, May 10, 2015, with her family by her side. Born on January 16, 1916, on her family's farm in Trumbull, CT, which is now Gate of Heaven Cemetery, she was the only daughter of eight children, born to Frank and Anna (Mihalka) Greytak. Jean worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for thirty years as an electrical assembler. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, china painting, and spending time with her family. She was very involved with the Linus Group at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Stratford, a group of talented ladies who made quilts for sick children. Jean enjoyed her time there making many great friends. She was an amazing daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Jean is survived by her daughter, Joyce Harney and her husband Arthur of Stratford, her son-in-law, William Timchak of Rockland, ME, her brother, Stephen Greytak and his wife Irma of Greenville, NC, grandchildren, Beth Rosa and her husband David, Kristen Wetmore and her husband David, Daniel Harney and his girlfriend Shirley Eanotti, Michael Timchak and his wife Jana, Joyce Timchak, Stephen Timchak and his wife Emily, and Jeannine Audet and her husband Chris, great-grandchildren, Joseph Chiesa, Holly and Taylor Rosa, Jack Wetmore, Thomas, Jessica, and Brooke Ricelli, Wyatt and Ethan Timchak, and Annie and Jacob Timchak, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Jean was pre-deceased by her daughter, Andrea Timchak, her granddaughter, Catherine Ricelli, and brothers, Frank, Joseph, Albert, George, and Eugene Greytak. The family would like to thank the staff at Lord Chamberlain HCC for their compassion and care. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 15th at 10 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
