Joan A. Devitt Miller, age 80, of Stratford, beloved wife of Robert Miller, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Griffin Hospital. Joan, a homemaker, was born in Bridgeport to the late John F. and Ella (Zenyhe) Devitt, and has been a life long area resident. Survivors in addition to her husband, include her devoted children, Lisa Avila of North Branford, Robert J. Miller and his wife Michele of Vermont, and Dawn Miller of New Hampshire, 4 cherished grandchildren, Stephanie and Eric Avila, and Lauren and Shane Miller, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved parents, she was pre-deceased by her brothers Thomas and George Devitt, and sister Sheila Forbes. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 19 ^th at 10 a.m., in Holy Name of Jesus Church 1950 Barnum Ave Stratford. Inurnment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.
