Joan A. Louis, age 86, of Shelton, passed away on July 22, 2023. Joan was born in Bridgeport on March 12, 1937. to the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Krafick) Louis and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Harding High School and was retired from Fleet Bank.

Survivors include her sister, Elizabeth Schilling, sister-in-law, Ann Louis, nieces and nephews, David Schilling, Patricia Kilburn, Michael Schilling (Denise), Paul Schilling, Robert Schilling, Donald Schilling, and Kathleen Moreno (Paul), and several great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joan was pre-deceased by her brother, Robert Louis, brother-in-law, Donald Schilling, nephew, Dennis Kilburn, and longtime friend, Robert Buckley.

A Requiem Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, July 28th at 12:30 p.m. in the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist 364 Mill Hill Avenue Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
