Joan Bednarz Kusha, age 65, of Stratford, passed away on March, 7 2024, in Bridgeport Hospital.  Joan was born on July 9, 1958, the beloved daughter of the late John and Helen (Wienckowski) Bednarz.  She was a loving, caring, and compassionate wife, mother, sister, and friend. Joan was known for her caring personality, her endless love, and addiction to getting a good bargain.  In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her brother, John Hepburn and brothers-in-law, Joseph Kusha and Nelson Sperling.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Arthur Kusha, her sister, Susan Sperling, her children, Jason Kusha and his wife Jessica, Jennifer Colavito and her husband Steven, Kimberly Stasko and her husband Brandon. Joan had 6 grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Julia and Jace Kusha, Declan, Jake and Makenna Colavito, Logan Stasko, also two nephews, Wayne and Steven Mills, several great nieces and nephews, as well as her lifelong friends, Helen Honorowski, Donna (Jim) Bizak and Patti (Herb) Cunliffe and so many others who she loved so much.

Friends may greet the family on Thursday March,14th from 4-7 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 15th  meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace, 497 Second Hill Lane Stratford, at 11 am. Interment will be private.
