Joan R. Hudak, age 90, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Albert A. Hudak, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Joan was born in Bridgeport on May 18, 1930 to the late Alan and Ruth (Noble) Augustus and had been a lifelong area resident. Joan was a warm and caring woman with a strong spirit. Whether she was vacationing with her family in Jamaica, playing penny slots at the casino, cheering on her loved ones at sporting events, or cooking up her famous chocolate chunk cookies, Joan lived her life with a bright and loving energy that touched everyone she knew. She was a fighter, not only for herself but for those she loved. Joan was the pillar of the Hudak family and the many fond memories she left behind will allow her to be eternally present in everyone's hearts. Survivors include her devoted children, Virginia Hudak, and Scott Hudak both of Shelton, daughter-in-law, Mariann Hudak, 5 cherished grandchildren, Debbie, Norman, Kelly, Taylor, and Alexandra. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Joan was pre-deceased by her son, Craig and granddaughter, Lori. Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
