Obituary

Jessie F. Miller Lemieux, passed away on August 4 th 2017 and was granted comfort in the presence of Our Lord and her sons. She was born on August 16 th 1937 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to the late Emery and Shirley Miller. The oldest of twelve, Jessie's life was dedicated to family from the beginning to the end. She raised her five children with patience, kindness, and most of all love. Jessie was a doting grandmother, and the role she played in her grandchildren's lives left a deep and lasting impact. In addition to the joy she gained from her family, Jessie was passionate about art and music. She had a deep appreciation for a wide variety of artists, and music was a constant presence in her life. With a personality larger than life, her absence will be felt strongly. She will be remembered most for her humor, constant guidance and unconditional love. Jessie is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Lemieux, Pat Horn of Seymour, and Pam Andrews of Lewisville, TX; 10 grandchildren, Erik Warga, Nyla Ducharme of Oviedo, FL, Nicole Logan of Spotsylvania, VA, Amanda Lemieux of Watertown, CT, Stephanie Lemieux of Naugatuck, CT, Jesse Lemieux of Derby, CT, Zachary Lemieux of Dover, DE, Charles Horn of Seymour, CT, Nathan Andrews and Savanah Andrews both of Lewisville, TX; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She also leaves behind one sister, Bernice Roberge; and 3 brothers, Roy Roberge, Joseph Roberge, and Donald Roberge. In addition to her parents, Jessie was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Lemieux, beloved sons, Alfred Lemieux Jr. and Gary Lemieux, as well as several brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank the nurses and medical staff at Bridgeport Hospital ICU for their compassionate care during Jessie's final days. Your kindness and attentiveness will always be remembered. There will be a service of remembrance at Summerfield United Methodist Church 110 Clermont Ave Bridgeport, CT on Friday August 11 th at 9 am. Burial in New Hampshire will be private. The Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
